Westmont, IL鈥敼呈悠 Press was honored in the 2011 Christianity Today Book Award list with winners in two categories, as well as one Award of Merit. The annual awards are among the most prestigious of their kind, recognizing outstanding new books 鈥渢hat best shed light on the people, events, and ideas that shape evangelical life, thought, and mission.鈥
by Alister McGrath received the top honor for Apologetics and Evangelism. McGrath highlights the gospel鈥檚 ability to engage with the complexities of the natural world on the one hand and human experience on the other. 鈥淎lister McGrath is one of the leading Christian scholars of our day,鈥 said Andy Le Peau,associate publisher and editorial director. 鈥淲e owe him a great debt for emphasizing that faithful Christian living requires faithful Christian thinking.鈥
editedby James K. Beilby and Paul Rhodes Eddy won the category for Biblical Studies. The Historical Jesus offers a unique entry into the Jesus quest, bringing readers up to date on the true substance of the vigorous debate among scholars that has often been distorted in recent years by the media.

For more than two decades, the annual Christianity Today Book Awards have recognized outstanding volumes in each of ten categories. This year, the judging process began with 427 titles submitted by 62 publishers. CT editors selected finalists in each category with expert judges sorting out the best contributions from 2010.
