WESTMONT, IL鈥敼呈悠 Press鈥檚 received the Award of Excellence for a nonfiction general trade book at the annual Book & Media Show on October 22, 2009. The awards show is held each year to honor excellence in the planning, supervision and execution of the physical and visual aspects of publishing media. The judging panel is a distinguished group of publishing professionals chosen for their knowledge of bookmaking.
鈥淲e realize we were competing against many talented designers from all different types of publishing houses,鈥 observed Anne Gerth, director of production and fulfillment for IVP. 鈥淭o win in the general category was especially meaningful for us.鈥
The Girl in the Orange Dress, by first-time author , details Starbuck鈥檚 childhood as an adopted daughter, her subsequent feelings of rejection due to her adoptive parents鈥 divorce and her search for her birth father. Ultimately she finds true love and acceptance in 鈥渁 father who does not fail.鈥
