Despite the frequent enticements in our society to pursue personal comfort and pleasure, ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ alumni are among the vanguard of young adults choosing to sacrificially serve people in need.

With less than six months before the beginning of Urbana 09, thousands of registrants have already committed to attend ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ's 22nd triennial student missions conference in St. Louis, MO.

The influence of ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ's Urbana student missions conference, the longest running student conference in the world, is being multiplied by a wave of new Urbana-type conferences in many other countries. What began as a movement of North American students in 1946 in Toronto is being increasingly owned by university students from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

¹û¶³ÊÓƵ's 22nd triennial Student Missions Conference will be held December 27-31, 2009, at the Edward Jones Dome and America's Center in St. Louis, MO. College students, church leaders, and anyone else interested in pursuing God's global mission are invited to Urbana 09.

Sandra Van Opstal will lead worship at ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ's Urbana 09 Student Missions Conference, continuing ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ's commitment to multicultural worship. The Urbana 09 Student Missions Conference will be held December 27-31, 2009, at the Edward Jones Dome and Americas Center in St. Louis, MO.

Just back from Mission Korea, ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ's Urbana director Jim Tebbe reflects on a question he was asked while in Korea: "How is missionary work different today than when your father was a missionary?"

We have already begun to develop the Urbana 09 program. Since 1946 ¹û¶³ÊÓƵ has been providing a place for college students to see, hear, and respond to God's global mission at Urbana conferences. These five-day events have served as catalysts for missions for over 60 years.
