Ethnicity, Reconciliation, and Justice

When summer arrives, I jump into my favorite warm-weather activities: time by the pool, reading outside, and most importantly, shared meals and cookouts with friends and family.

When I started college, I couldn鈥檛 have named a single Black gospel singer. I was a classical music major with a narrow range of taste, and thought I already knew everything about what 鈥済ood music鈥 was.

The last thing I want to do is perpetuate a stereotype. Every now and then I meet someone who still thinks Native Americans have a 鈥渟pecial connection鈥 with the earth鈥攖hat they can talk to animals or put their ear to the ground and hear a herd of buffalo coming from ten miles away.

My faked indifference, Is my witness. I鈥檓 not in the best... Fitness of heart and mind鈥擠oing the daily grind. I gotta stop for a second 鈥檆ause truly loving meets resistance.

For Lent this year, I decided to drink nothing but water. The plan was to give the money that I saved to help purchase clean water for those who have none...
